THE CERAMIC INSTALLATION
Designed exclusively for the London Design Festival, this handcrafted, original ceramic art installation celebrates the landmark achievements of a collection of 19th Century female explorers.
These intrepid women broke gender boundaries and surpassed the traditions and expectations of the females of their age; their exploits and discoveries mirrored by the myriad of colourful butterflies that adorn these individually designed ceramic plates. Follow them on their journey of exploration and weave your own personal tale through Kristjana S Williams' immersive artwork.
