‘The Sleeping Garden’ by Kristjana S Williams is a true celebration of art, literature and visual artists, made original by the vital creativity of the artist’s mind. Says Williams: “As well as being inspired by the incredibly rich and historic work I have discovered during my visits to Shapero Rare Books, I wanted the pieces for this exhibition to mirror the reflections and insights which have emerged from our changing world over the past two years.
I think the experiences we have all shared have altered our cognitive awareness of all that surrounds us, and it is my hope that everyone will find their own truth within my artworks.”
Kristjana S Williams has created a series of new three-dimensional original artworks, plus Limited Edition prints for the exhibition, including two large panoramic 3D pieces inspired by early animation techniques employed by Disney, as well as Williams’ work for the Victoria and Albert Museum’s Alice in Wonderland exhibit. A private viewing of ‘The Sleeping Garden’ will be held between 6pm and 8pm the evening of November 24th.
