The story behind the artwork

This immersive original artwork is abundant with movement, life and celebration. A plethora of tiny butterflies dance in the boughs, each representing a country of the world upon its wings. Discover your own country’s emblem, then see how many you can recognise within the boughs. These symbols of nationality are carried on the wing, bringing states, kingdoms and republics together in unity and harmony, a fitting tribute to this summer’s recent Parisian Olympiad as well as those that have come before and will follow in the future.
