The story behind the artwork
Introducing Kristjana’s new Original 3D world map artwork, a beautiful and immersive piece that presents the continents and oceans of the world in a kaleidoscope of pastel shades. They float above a glacial mountain range that adds an even greater depth and a sense of place to this stunning artwork. Intricate 3D elements hover over the world map, including Kristjana’s fantastical and heroic animals that symbolise the strength and vivacity of the natural world.
A pair of gem-coloured deer with dragonfly wings are the hero animals of the piece. These land mammals are flanked by two head-dressed cranes, their extended wings holding the promise of flight. A pair of monochrome snow owls have grown rabbit ears, and are contrasted by the vibrant vegetation. Multicoloured iris and spotted orchid add a touch of magic, and a myriad of brightly coloured butterflies flit effortlessly between the sea and the sky, their wings reflecting the warmth of the sun's rays.

Bespoke Hand and laser cut paper collage. Digitally designed, hand sculpted paper elements are painstakingly pinned in place onto a thick foam board, creating a stunning three dimensional effect. Utterly unique in its composition and to its owner, an original artwork is one of its kind and cannot be replicated. Your piece will be the only piece like it, anywhere in the world.
