Utterly unique and irresistibly imaginative, Kristjana’s new series of plate artworks combines the artist’s love of ceramics and textiles. Each white ceramic base has been adorned with exquisite patches of silken yarns and faux gems woven together to tell the narrative of their creation.

A majestic bee, its bejewelled body signifying its status as nature’s hero, sits poised upon the luscious vegetation from which it feeds.

Artwork Details

Bespoke Hand and laser cut paper collage. Digitally designed, hand-sculpted paper elements are glued in place on a new base, a set of vintage ceramic plates, creating a stunning three-dimensional effect. Utterly unique in its composition and to its owner, an original artwork is one of its kind and cannot be replicated. Your piece will be the only piece like it, anywhere in the world.
