The story behind the artwork

You are invited to step in, as these windows to the soul reach out to you; looking out for themselves as well as for others.

‘Eg se tig’, meaning ‘I see you’ in Icelandic, is a masterful contemplation of the human psyche; an acceptance of our desire as humans to see and want to be seen.  The webbing of nerves running through the eye mirrors the bars on a map or the veins of a leaf - vital life-giving lines of communication, care and connection.

Billowing clouds soften great mountains, reflecting nature’s elusive blue light;  its shorter waves making it nature’s most celebrated hue. Teetering toadstools embody the force of nature within us all; a unique and boundless creativity that cannot be extinguished. The wisdom of the owl and the kingfisher’s promise of prosperity bask in the beaming rainbow of lashes, scattering a spectrum of light that seems to radiate from the soul, symbolising tolerance, inclusivity and loving care.

Printed in our studio in London on Matt Smooth Fine Art Cotton 300 gsm, using giclée inks to ensure you are able to enjoy your print for years to come. All prints come with a physical Certificate of Authenticity.
